Well, I've been neglecting this journal for some time now, but I promise more frequent entries and better days are ahead, starting now. As many of you know, I've been unable to work with this journal much lately, but I'm back now and things are quickly getting back to normal, or at least as normal as things get for me.
Tomorrow we're going to Knoxville, which I haven't visited in a couple of months. I've missed my friends like you wouldn't believe. Some of them were wondering why I'd been away so long. I hope they understand. something tells me they will. They know it would take a pretty serious force to keep me away.
Anyway, work is planing out after the hectic transition of our primary product to a newer version. The majority of our customers have adjusted well and like the new version. That's a good thing. Some like to bitch, but then, there's always SOMEONE.
Next week I have an interview with the network administrators at HGTV. this could be the big break I've been waiting for. If I get this job, I'll be able to work there 2nd shift, which allows me to take some more classes at the local community college, called Pellissippi State, which is located just a few miles away from HGTV. I can take day classes without being limited on class availibility, a problem I've had with evening school. They try to have a good selection, but common since says they can't offer every class at a variety of times. This way I can be a full time student and work at HGTV. If I need more money, and if time allows, there's also a Best Buy and a Comp USA nearby where I can pick up parttime work to make ends meet, while taking advantage of the employee discounts.
My parents have been looking for houses for us, and have seven that we're going to go see this weekend. It makes for a busy saturday, but then again, looking at houses can be fun. I'm looking forward to it. ANYTHING that helps me get moved home is a good thing.
Jack recently bought a fifteen acre plot of land with a doublewide on it. I can't believe it. That's just a huge deal for one of my friends. Not that we're not getting to the point to where we should be buying homes and starting families and all that stuff, but MAN, it's just a sign that whether we like it or not, we're getting older. Once you pay property taxes, you're a grown up. I hope to be able to see his place sometime this weekend.
Well, I have a lot of packing to get done, so I must retire from this page. Maybe I'll have time to write this weekend...
